Just by eye-balling it, my state of Oklahoma appears to be slightly above average @ 68,325 checks. I am two of those checks.
Here is where things get interesting:
Most People per Check - Washington D.C. @ 5191.52
Least People per Check - Kentucky @ 8.28
The Brady Campaign ranks Kentucky in last place with the weakest gun laws and they always speak highly of Washington D.C.'s strict gun laws. Do these numbers reveal the Brady Campaign's real agenda; Not to reduce gun violence, but to reduce gun sales and ownership in general?

By reducing the number of guns wouldn't we reduce the amount of gun violence?
Yes. But a reduction in gun violence isn't a guaranteed reduction in overall violence. Violent people are violent whether they have a gun or not.
Taking away the gun will not make a non-violent person any less violent. They will only move to the next most convenient weapon. In NYC, the next most convenient weapon was the knife, hence their 50% increase in knife murder and slight increase in murder overall.
