A hero or a liability?

DETROIT -- A 16-year-old was killed Friday during a gun battle inside a Detroit McDonald's, Local 4 has learned.
Sources said the teen tried robbing the fast food restaurant, which is on Six Mile Road near Livernois Avenue, by jumping over the counter but was confronted by a retired police officer who was also inside.
Detroit Police Lt. Dwane Blackman said the teen and retired officer were both armed and exchanged more than a dozen shots. The teen was killed.
No one else inside was hurt.

Dead criminal? Check.
No injured innocents? Check.

Sounds like a hero to me.

The Brady Campaign idiots will roll this up into their statistic of a "gun death" of a "child" while it is neither. A criminal being shot by either police or armed citizens should never be counted in their bogus statistic, and someone is no longer an innocent and sweet teenager when they are doing an armed robbery and shooting it out with police.

It is a tragic waste of a life, but much better that it was the criminal than the police man or maybe me if I was there.
