While some of our friends on the other side of the gun violence prevention issue can be forgiven some, er, irrational exuberance over yesterday’s election results, the reality is a little more mundane.
For better or worse, guns didn’t play a prominent role in the outcomes of any of the four high-profile races yesterday
What? Wait a minute. Isn't this the same Brady Campaign that was absolutely giddy, to the point of even gloating, over the election of Barack Obama, even though guns didn't play a prominent role in the outcome of his election?
Yep. That's them.

AztecRed, There's no flip flop there. The Obama win was a big defeat to the NRA which had invested a lot to defeat him. These recent elections on the other hand didn't change much one way or the other.
I don't see how you can say Obama's election was a defeat to the NRA, seeing as how the Brady Campaign has no shortage of complaints about him:

Again, the election of Obama was no more a defeat of the NRA, than the elections in New Jersey and Virginia were a defeat of the Brady Campaign. The Brady's, as usual, are being hypocrites.
