A good reason to carry on campus...

"I don't feel too safe walking by the woods," said Edwards, a 19-year-old black student from Canton. "There's woods everywhere. And somebody could be out in them, and I don't know."

School officials will be flexible with students who don't feel safe on campus? I wonder if they will be flexible enough to allow those with concealed carry permits to carry on campus?

Of course the school has beefed up "security" by adding more cameras, because no one has ever been killed on camera.

"...if he had a gun, he might have used it."

State Rep. Vernon Smith, D-Gary
"Smith said he once became so angry at a man who was picking on him at a dance that if he had a gun, he might have used it."

In his attempt to fight pro-gun legislation in Indiana, Rep. Smith engages in a bit of Kabuki theater:

Donning a National Rifle Association cap and holding a toy pistol, state Rep. Vernon Smith, D-Gary, walked to the front of the Indiana House floor.

Explaining his support for the "Wild Wild West," he fired the fake pistol, saying, "Bang, bang, shoot 'em up!"

"This is indeed an NRA state," Smith said. "I pledge allegiance, not to the flag, but to the NRA."

The Indiana House says Noh.

Gun Guys playing the race card again.

Apparently, it's time for their yearly, "Black People Should Support Gun Control" post. It's the same story as usual: Out of all ethnic groups, black people are the most likely to get shot to death, which on the surface is true.

However, as always, they ignore the fact that not only is a black person the least likely to own a gun, they are also most likely to be killed by another black person. In other words, there are other ethnicities out there that own more guns and manage to kill not only fewer of each other, but fewer people in general.

That means guns aren't the problem. The real killers in the black community are the higher rates of poverty, low quality/no education, drug use, fatherless homes, and gang involvement.

They didn't get it last year. They didn't get it the year before last. They didn't get it this year. Maybe they'll get it next year. I doubt it though.

Lloyd R. Woodson's grenade launcher.

BRANCHBURG -- Somerset County investigators seized a cache of weapons including a grenade launcher and hundreds of rounds of ammunition today from the Branchburg motel room of a Virginia man, who also had maps of a U.S. military facility and an out-of-state civilian community.

Of course, the "grenade launcher" was in fact a flare launcher.

Another horror story from the Fiefdom of Bloomberg...

...where only the rich and famous are allowed to exercise their right to carry a firearm.

Instead of reading a story about a shot rapist, I read this.

A knife-wielding man sodomized a young woman in lower Manhattan - and sadistically took pictures of her with his cell phone camera during the attack, police said.

This is why I am unimpressed when the gun-controllers brag about how little gun crime there is in NYC. Instead of sending his goons around the country to gather evidence for his battle against the 2nd Amendment, perhaps Michael Bloomberg should focus on protecting the people in his own city, especially since he has all but completely denied them the ability to defend themselves.

What's the saying? "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" This incident and this incident are the planks in Michael Bloomberg's eyes.

When you outlaw guns...

Women and children will be left defenseless and their jilted lovers will still be armed and dangerous.

From the gun-free, Utopia of New York City:
The jealous lover charged in a Brooklyn bloodbath stabbed the victims - his girlfriend and her two little girls - more than a dozen times each, police sources said Saturday.

Who will dance in their blood? VPC? Brady Campaign? CSGV? Bueller?

Had these 3 individuals been shot a dozen times, there would have been press releases, articles on Huffington Post, Michael Bloomberg on a cross, and calls for the president to enact Common-Sense® legislation (something more Common-Sense® than NYC's outright ban on nearly everything gun related).

Apparently if you get stabbed to death, the attitude from those who claim to want to save so many lives is "tough shit".

Half-Truth #4: "...the vast majority of gunloons have little clue about how to safely handle, operate, maintain and store firearms."

JadeGold says:
Again, the vast majority of gunloons have little clue about how to safely handle, operate, maintain and store firearms.

Of course, this is coming from a worshiper of such careful anti-gun loons as:
