85% of Mexican cartel guns come from the US. Down from 90%.

It's amazing how many people still buy this bull:

Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard Casauban noted that the Mexican government is waging a brutal war against drug cartels that get “85 percent” of their weapons from the United States.

But that flat-out lie is just the side show to Richard Daley's 3 Ring Circus:

Wrapping up the sixth annual Richard J. Daley Global Cities Forum, Daley convinced more than a dozen of his counterparts from around the world to approve a resolution urging "redress against the gun industry through the courts of the world" in The Hague.

Let's forget for the moment that Chicago with Daley at the helm has become the cesspool of America, despite it's oppressive gun laws and pretend that Daley has a point:

"If we ship over poison to a country, don’t you think we should be responsible for it? That’s what they’re saying: 'Be responsible for what you manufacture and sell in my country.' ... You have to think outside the box. You have to be [aggressive] about how you protect your people."

If the gun manufacturers were selling guns as teddy bears in the same way China sells rat poison as baby formula, i'd be inclined to agree. But they are not. They are selling guns as guns. The violence of Chicago is not an industrial accident. You cannot take a company to court because of the use or misuse of their product.

Not to be out-nuttied, Michael Nutter throws in his 2 cents:
He added, "People are being killed every day in the United States of America with illegal weapons. I love the 2nd Ammendment. [But], I have a 1st Ammendment right not to be shot."

As much as being shot sucks, i'm not quite sure which part of it says you have a right not to be shot. I guess you can't expect someone who doesn't support the 2nd Amendment to be very knowledgeable of the 1st. That seems to be the prevailing trend among the gun control types these days.

And like every con-artist and snake oil salesman before him, Daley wants your money:

It happened when Daley argued that Chicagoans have to "open our hearts and our pocketbooks" to save another generation from being lost.

The audacity.

Richard Daley, you are an incompetent boob. You've been failing Chicagoans year after year, scheme after scheme. You're more interested in preserving your father's failed gun ban and filling your pockets than saving lives. You've denied Chicagoans their right to bear arms and now they are reaping the results in the form of being prisoners in their own homes.

It is my hope that the McDonald ruling is the first of many nails in the coffin that contains your fetid, diseased, and dying political career. Once the people of Chicago get a taste of freedom, your days in office are numbered. And Mike Bloomberg better be taking notes.
